GUIDELINES FOR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
1.Most people will want to adore our Lord in their own way, and often will want to do so quietly. For this reason, please do not visit with others in church. Go outside to converse, if necessary. Please do not leave the Blessed Sacrament unattended.
2. Parents are encouraged to bring their children. As Jesus said, ”Let the little children come to me.” But, please supervise your children. This would be a good time to teach little ones reverence and love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. If you are alone with your children, you could also teach them the rosary or other memorized prayers.
3. There will be some reading material for you to use, but be sure to put it back so others may also use it. It will be in a box in front of church by the piano.
4. If someone shows up during your hour that is not a regular adorer, do not assume that they will be staying for the whole hour. They may just be dropping in for a short visit. Please do not leave before your scheduled hour is completed and the next regular adorer has come to pray.
5. It is a good practice to come about 5 minutes prior to your assigned hour. These few minutes can allow the present adorers to prepare to depart knowing that the next hour is properly covered.
If you have any questions, please call one of the people listed below
Karen Leither 597-2149 or 597-2145
Karen Ginter 597-2231
Rita Vogt 597-2331
We are trying to assign at least three people to each hour. When you cannot make your assigned hour you should:
A. First call the other person(s) assigned to the same hour as you to make sure they will be there. It is not necessary to call a sub if the other person will be there for their assigned hour.
B. If you know in advance that you cannot be there during your regularly scheduled hour due to some emergency you might try switching with another person for a different hour for that day.
C. In the event that no one can be there, please call one of the subs listed at the bottom of the schedule.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. PETITIONS:
Let us remember to pray for each other and our needs. There is a Petition Book to write down your individual petitions located on the small table by the piano. Please remember to pray for these intentions and also for the needs of the parish, the country and the world.
2. SIGN IN
Each person is asked to sign in as he/she begins their hour along with the time you will be there. The sign in book will be on a small table by the piano along with the petition book.
3. BATHROOMS
Bathrooms are located in the basement of the church.
Again thank you for saying yes to this special hour of prayer.
