2010-2011 School Goals

1. Implement differentiated instruction techniques that are based upon the learning style of the individual.
   • Review differentiated instruction techniques
   • Evaluate teachers use of differentiation in their instructions
2. Study the use of a variety of assessments to determine and measure student learning and guide teacher instruction.
   • Implement MAPS testing
3. Provide opportunities for teachers to share information gained from workshop attendance.
   • Set aside one faculty meeting per month for teachers to share information from workshops attended as well as ideas gather from books, magazines, internet.
4. Plan for technology needs and opportunities.
   • Re-establish Technology Committee
   • Develop new technology plan by April 2011. 
5. Educate teachers on availability and use of technology to educate their learners.
   • Provide training on new technology
6. Use technology to enhance communication within the community.
   • Update website
   • Research ways to inform parents of learners accomplishments and learner expectations
7. Use curriculum review cycle to update educational materials (books & videos) in library
   • Research/preview printed materials as well as educational videos and software using curriculum review cycle.  (2010-201 – Social Studies)
   • Use funding to purchase new materials
8. Develop a discipline plan that addresses the challenges of today’s students
   • Develop Discipline Plan
9. Develop a marketing/communication campaign
   • Establish a Marketing Committee
   • Survey – Re – Pre-School Children
   • Try to get list from neighboring parish
   • Survey Parents about Cookie Time
     • Once time establish –publish in neighboring parish bulletins
     • Put in the Cold Spring Record
   • Survey them about Pre-School
   • Develop Packet for new students
     • New brochure
     • DVD featuring the various classes
     • Testimonials from alumni/parents/students
     • Abbreviated form of grade standards

·         Create a cohesive “look” for the school

• Update the school logo – web site
• Research school “colors”
• Develop catchphrase for the school
• Update current materials with “new look”

10. The school will continue to be fiscally responsible.
    • Research ways of financing school programs
    • Review current practices of sharing financial information with stakeholders
    • Research ways of creating a feeling of financial responsibility among stakeholders
11. Research the feasibility/need of a pre-school program.
